There is an auction every week at McTear's. Every Friday at 10.30am an auction of general antiques & collectables (Home & Interiors) is held and that auction will include around 500 lots of silver & jewellery, furniture, clocks, pictures & collectables. You can view these auctions on the Thursday prior to the auction from 9am till 7pm and on the morning of the auction from 9am. The catalogue may be viewed on this website.
Once every five weeks McTear’s ‘Three Days of Auctions’ event takes place, with over 2000 lots of Rare & Collectable Whisky, Fine Wines, Jewellery, Watches & Coins, British, Continental & Asian Works of Art, Ceramics & Collectables and Silver, also Scottish, Contemporary & Fine Pictures, Antique Furniture, Clocks, Sports Memorabilia & Militaria.
The auctions take place during the day and in the evening. Wednesday to Friday, check the individual catalogues online for times. Viewing for the auctions starts on the Saturday the preceding weekend from 930am till 1pm, with complimentary catalogues provided on arrival. Drinks at McTear’s Cafe are served free of charge on this viewing day. The auction viewings continue through the week with late opening on Monday until 8pm.
Every lot purchased at McTear’s is subject to a Buyers Premium of 18% plus VAT thereon.
